How are digital technologies reshaping territory, geopolitics, and state power?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this webinar, recorded as part of Alameda&#8217;s After Order Working Paper Series, sociologist and scholar of digital politics Paolo Gerbaudo presents his working paper, <em>Clouds and Territories: Rethinking the Relationship Between Space and Power in the Digital Era<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The paper challenges the idea that the digital world exists beyond territorial boundaries, arguing instead that cloud infrastructure, AI systems, and digital platforms have become central to geopolitical competition, digital sovereignty, and contemporary forms of state power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the presentation, Paolo Gerbaudo is joined by Paris Marx \u2014 Canadian tech critic, host of the award-winning <em>Tech Won&#8217;t Save Us<\/em> podcast, and author of <em>Estrada para lugar nenhum<\/em> and the forthcoming <em>Hyperscale<\/em> \u2014 for a discussion on the politics of technology.
