Olena Lyubchenko

Olena Lyubchenko is a PhD Candidate in Political Science at York University and an associate faculty member at the Brooklyn Institute for Social Research. Her research and teaching draws on Marxist critique of political economy and focuses on social reproduction, primitive accumulation, and the making and transformation of the Soviet Union in global context. She writes about neoliberal restructuring, the financialisation of social reproduction, racialisation and citizenship in post-Soviet Russia and Ukraine, as well as the regulation of labour relations in settler-colonial Canada. Olena is an editor at LeftEast and Midnight Sun Magazine.
