Breno Bringel

Breno Bringel is a Professor of Political Sociology at the State University of Rio de Janeiro and Senior Fellow at the Complutense University of Madrid, awarded by the Program ‘Talento Investigador’. He is also director of the Latin American Sociological Association and editor of Global Dialogue, a magazine published in fifteen languages. His research deals with the geopolitics of ecosocial transitions, Latin American thought, social movements, and contemporary internationalism. He takes part in various activist research initiatives and is a member of the Southern Ecosocial Pact. His last book is The Geopolitics of Green Colonialism (Pluto Press, 2024).
