Carla Rodrigues

Carla Rodrigues is a professor in the Department of Philosophy at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and a researcher with the Post-Graduate Philosophy Programme (UFRJ/IFCS) with a focus on gender, race and coloniality. She was awarded a productivity grant from CNPq and FAPERJ for the project “Does Philosophy have something to say about colonial violence?”. She is coordinator of the Philosophy of the Time of Now Laboratory (Lafita/CNPq) and the author of O Luto entre Clínica e Política: Judith Butler para além do Gênero (Autêntica, 2021), amongst other titles. She has also dedicated herself to translation projects in philosophy, such as the translation of Judith Butler’s work to Portuguese.
