Olena Lyubchenko is a PhD Candidate in Political Science at York University and an associate faculty member at the Brooklyn Institute for Social Research. Her work draws on Marxist critique of political economy and focuses on the Soviet Union in a global context. She writes about neoliberal restructuring and financialisation of social reproduction, racialisation and citizenship in post-Soviet Russia and Ukraine, as well as labour relations in settler-colonial Canada.
