Paulo Arantes is a philosopher. In 1998, he retired from a professorship at the Department of Philosophy of the University of São Paulo, where he taught for thirty years. His books include: Hegel: A Ordem do Tempo, Ressentimento da Dialética, and, more recently, O Novo Tempo do Mundo.
