Denise De Sordi holds a PhD in Social History and is a researcher at Ensp/Fiocruz. She specialises in the relationships between social movements and the State, as well as social policies and programmes aimed at combating poverty and hunger. She conducts research in the fields of History, Education, History of Science and Health, and Sociology of Work, having authored several articles published in scientific journals and national and international media outlets. Denise is affiliated with Cenedic/USP and the Economy and Society Research Group at IHC/UNL.
