Edemilson Paraná is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Sciences at LUT University, Finland. He is also a research fellow at CNPq, Brazil’s national research council, and an international fellow at the Rudolf Agricola School for Sustainable Development, University of Groningen. He has authored two monographs on digital finance, and his work on the digital economy has been published in Big Data & Society, New Political Economy, Cambridge Journal of Economics, Globalizations, among others. His insights have been featured in media outlets across Brazil, Argentina, the US, Canada, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany and Finland.
