Elena Fiddian-Qasmiyeh is Professor of Migration and Refugee Studies and Co-Director of the Migration Research Unit at University College London, where she also leads the ‘Refuge in a Moving World’ interdisciplinary research network and the ‘Southern Responses to Displacement’ research project. Drawing on critical-theoretical perspectives, Elena’s research focuses on experiences of and responses to conflict-induced displacement, with particular attention to the Middle East.
