Maikel da Silveira is a journalist, psychoanalyst, and holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). He works as an editor at Editora Machado and is an active member of Espaço Comum de Organizações (ECO), in São Paulo. His current research focuses on the interconnections between the climate crisis, land struggles, processes of peripheralization, and racialization. As an author, he contributed to the edited volume Tempo Fechado: capitalismo e colapso climático, published by Boitempo.
