Natan Oliveira

RESEARCH FELLOW

Natan OLiveira is a Master’s student in Philosophy at the University of Brasília (UnB) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Fluminense Federal University (UFF). As an Alameda Institute fellow, he is conducting a research project on the multiple dimensions of the concept of time in our era, examining its implications in physics, the critique of political economy and critical social theory. This work will result in a book on the relationship between time and sovereignty in contemporary capitalism. His broader research interests include the epistemological and conceptual foundations of theoretical physics, focusing on the interface between the dialectical tradition and scientific thought, as well as the critique of science and technology under capitalism from the standpoint of Marxist social theory. He has experience in science communication at the Museum of Life (Fiocruz), in popular education, and is a contributor to the podcast Ontocast.
