Raj Patel is a Research Professor in the Lyndon B Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas, Austin. He has testified about food and hunger to the US, UK and EU governments, and his books, including Stuffed and Starved, The Value of Nothing, A History of the World in Seven Cheap Things (with Jason W Moore) and Inflamed (with Rupa Marya) have been translated into a dozen languages. He is a member of the International Panel of Experts on Sustainable Food Systems, and co-director of the documentary feature The Ants & The Grasshopper.
