Thiago Canettieri is a lecturer in the Department of Urbanism at the School of Architecture of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). He is a geographer, holding a Master’s and a PhD in Geography, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Graduate Programme in Geography at UFMG. He currently works on topics related to urbanisation and peripheralisation, exploring how these processes relate to the crisis of the modern system of commodity production.
