Paolo Gerbaudo is a Senior Researcher at the Political Science department of Complutense University in Madrid and an Associate Researcher at the Alameda Institute and the Weizenbaum Institute in Berlin. He is the author of four monographs on the transformation of politics in the digital era including Tweets and the Streets: Social Media and Contemporary Activism (2012) and The Digital Party: Political Organisation and Online Democracy (2019). He is currently working on the geopolitics of technology, the transformation of the state and the rise of new form of propaganda.
