He was previously director of the Progressive Economy Forum, chief economist at the New Economics Foundation, and economic advisor to the Shadow Chancellor from 2015-18 . He is host of the weekly Macrodose podcast, and his most recent book, The Cost of Living Crisis (and How to Get Out of It), is out now from Verso.
